My objective of this project was to demonstrate a positive message to the world and have meaning behind my work, as well as, do research and decide on which typeface I would like to highlight and in what media. Just like my previous project, Type Specimen Poster, this piece will demonstrate the range of a selected typeface applied to text in a variety of weights and sizes, showcasing its unique qualities. I was able to pick what media and format I would like for my type specimen to take shape. What is the purpose, again? To demonstrate the range of a typeface in use. I designed this piece in Adobe Illustrator and when finished, I turned it into a PNG. Then I brought the PNG to a printer at my college campus and printed it on tote bags with just a click of a button. I chose to have my type be on tote bags because I see a variety of people everyday wearing tote bags with unique messages or graphics that always catches my eye.
